plants...

The garden is really coming along! Ahhhh....spring has been good to us this year. The rain is fairly frequent and it isn't hot enough to kill our salad greens.

Here is our herb corner. The mint was here when we moved in and it just continues to grow and spread. Mmmmmm....mojitos.

Blue peas and fava beans growing under and around bamboo poles. There are also some other things there...a tomato plant, some basil, and a pepper plant.

Cilantro. I LOVE it! I hope more of it comes up. Right now we just have a few of them that have popped through. My guess is that they would like it to warm up a bit before they appear.

Dill making its debut in our garden.

Another picture of the peas (Blauschokker Blue Pod Peas).

Mixed salad greens and arugula. It's delicious!!

Potatoes (a few different kinds)!

Tomatoes (black russian and yellow jelly bean)! There are some in the ground also but you couldn't see them in the picture.

And the cardoon I put in the ground last year. It made it through the winter and it is back!!

Wow. I should've put you to work when you were here on Saturday. All we've got is some tomato and pepper plants sitting in their pots on the driveway. And a "wildflower meadow" that's kind of a big expanse of dirt right now, waiting to see if anything comes up.

Looks fantastic, Alice!! I'm inspired-- we were just trying to figure out what to do next, and I think we're going out into the garden!
